I’m Liam, and I write every single guide on Pet Names Lovers myself.

That’s not guesswork there’s real research behind why short, sharp-sounding names tend to get a faster response from dogs, for example.

A Bit About Me

I don’t have a fancy academic title behind this site what I have is genuine, borderline-excessive enthusiasm for getting a pet’s name right. I’ve spent real time comparing name lists, reading up on breed temperament, and figuring out what separates a name that actually sticks from one that gets shortened, ignored, or forgotten within a week.

That personal experience obsessing over my own dog’s name longer than probably any reasonable person should is the entire reason this site exists. I know what it’s like to want a name that isn’t just cute, but actually fits. That’s the standard every guide on this site is held to.
