What To Write In About

Trying to pick a name? If you’re torn between a few names, unsure what one means, or want a suggestion based on your pet’s breed or personality, send me the details. Helping with exactly this kind of thing is the whole point of the site.

Found an error? If something on the site looks off a meaning, an origin, a fact about a breed let me know which page it’s on and what needs a second look. I’d rather fix it than leave it up.

Have a topic idea? Want a guide on names for a specific breed, species, theme, or style I haven’t covered yet? Tell me. Reader requests shape a lot of what gets written next.

Want to contribute? If you have real experience in animal behavior, breeding, training, or pet care and you’re interested in writing or collaborating, send a short note about your background and what you’d want to cover.

Before You Send That Message

  • If you’re asking about a name, tell me the species (dog, cat, bird, etc.) and, if relevant, the breed it helps me give you a better answer
  • If you’re flagging an error, include the page link and the specific part that’s wrong
  • If you’re pitching a collaboration, a couple of sentences about your background and idea goes a long way
  • Unsolicited promotional emails, backlink requests, and mass-sent pitches won’t get a reply
